The Lantern Festival (Feb 12) marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebrations on the 15th day of the lunar calendar's first month. It is a time of joy, family reunions, and the lighting of lanterns. Feasting is inseparable from any Chinese celestial celebration, and eating Tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) is integral to this event. The Lantern Festival celebrates light and renewal; eating round, bright, pearl-like Tangyuan suggests the wish for a fortunate and fulfilled year ahead.

On Feb 14, we celebrated Western Valentine's Day, which is sweeter, of course. The Lantern Festival (元宵节, Yuan Xiao Jie) and Valentine’s Day (情人节, Qíngrén Jié) both celebrate love, reunion, and joy. The two dates connect to form a buffet of goodness.

Our spacious campus allows us to offer many classrooms to accommodate a smaller group of students. Each classroom is well equipped and provides students ample space to interact with each other and the teachers. It also has excellent ventilation and plenty of natural light.

Outside the classrooms are open courtyards and greenery-lined passageways for our students to feel relaxed and free.

Since 2010, we have consecutively received top honors from the BayAreaParent magazine through unwavering affirmation from the community and families. As a result, we decided to decline further nominations after 2015, allowing other schools in the Bay Area to have the opportunity.
