🎓 Teacher Licensing Qualifications for Infant/Toddler Care in California
To work as a teacher in a licensed infant/toddler care center in California, educators must meet the following basic qualifications:
✅ 12 ECE Units: Completing 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (ECE/CD) from an accredited college. These units must include courses in:
✅ Experience: At least 6 months of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility.
✅ Background Checks & CPR Certification: Must pass a background check and fingerprinting and be certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid.
