Portrait of My Friend
The popular sayings attest that children naturally can see the inherent goodness and beauty in people and things around them. Master artists like Renoir or Mary Cassatt have their interpretation of that notion in paintings. However, if a painting can talk, those famous paintings are the voice of adults. What will we find if we let our students paint what they see to express that notion of goodness and beauty?
At Trust Montessori, having our students create a "Portrait of My Friend" has always been the most fun, enjoyable, and rewarding exercise. These portraits reflect their free-flowing imagination, curiosity, and creativity. We are captivated by the children's interpretations and confident you will be too. 😉
